Oxfam reaction to circuit court decision on Title 42

By

In response to the circuit court's decision to grant the government's motion to stay Title 42, Oxfam America's Global Policy Lead Noah Gottschalk made the following statement:

"It's troubling to see the court grant the government's motion to reinstate Title 42 just days after the district court ruled that this policy violates U.S. law. We all saw the horrific images of the abuse faced by Haitian asylum seekers subjected to Title 42, and we cannot allow people to face further harm because of this xenophobic policy.

"Seeking asylum is a human right, and we will continue fighting with our co-counsel to put an end to this harmful policy once and for all so that refugees can rebuild their lives in the US with dignity and humanity."
